The trials and tribulations of the past year have resulted in the need for adaption. As an organisation, a key part of this adaption involved the postponement of several large-scale events that unite the membership and profession. These in-person events not only serve as a great learning experience but as social gatherings, where members of the profession can connect and build camaraderie.
That is why the ACA is excited for these upcoming 2021 events. With a number of in-person events planned around the country for the year, we hope members will utilise the opportunities to engage in practical and exciting learning opportunities and reconnect with their colleagues.
Each event planned whether large or small, abides by the individual state’s COVID-19 safety protocols and procedures. Although some rules may change at a moment’s notice, the dedicated ACA events team are well-equipped to ensure that each event meets the correct guidelines.
Please consider joining us for the three major events we have planned this year:
Sports Chiropractic Symposium (14-16 May)
The highlight of the AICE Sports & Exercise calendar, the Sports Chiropractic Symposium will be held 14-16 May and now takes place at the Rydges Melbourne, offering attendees the latest in sports chiropractic research and techniques
Offering two different streams, the International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic (ICSP) Upper Extremity Module is a hands-on program, covering the treatment of the upper extremities. The Masterclass stream will cover the topic of ‘From Theory to Practice’ and will have a mix of multidisciplinary speakers including chiropractors, physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches and sports and exercise physicians.

Connecting Kids Symposium (23-24 July)
A new event recently added the ACA events schedule is the Connecting Kids Symposium. This comes as the recent merger of the College of Chiropractic Paediatrics (CCP) into the ACA, forming the AICE Paediatrics Clinical Practice Group.
This AICE Paediatrics event will be held in Brisbane on 23-24 July and will focus on the theme ‘Bumps, Births, Babies and Beyond’, featuring renowned speakers in the field of chiropractic paediatrics.

ACA Conference (23-24 October)
The largest event in the ACA calendar is of course the annual ACA Conference. To be held in the vibrant city of Adelaide on 23-24 October, the Conference theme is The Female Patient & Women’s Health. This unique and exciting theme will centre on all that practitioners need to know about the female patient and their unique health needs. In a single weekend, attendees will be able to take the valuable knowledge and useful tools learnt into their practice, gaining a further understanding of this important health area.
Join your fellow colleagues and guest speakers including Drs Andrea Huddleston, Angela Todd, Julie Uren, Katelyn McGregor and many more! The Conference will be held at the Hilton Adelaide, which is ideally located in the heart of the city’s entertainment, shopping and dining precinct.
