Safer Care Victoria Consultation Now Open

The Safer Care Victoria (SCV) public consultation is now open and we encourage all Australian chiropractors to make their views known in this consultation. ACA is also asking chiropractors to encourage their patients to participate, as stories from patients will be extremely valuable in informing the review panel of the importance of paediatric chiropractic care to families across Australia.

ACA members can find more information about the consultation in the members’ area of the ACA website, which features a dedicated Member Letter with all the necessary information. Members should read this letter carefully before making a submission. The ACA have also developed a Patient Letter for members to give to patients if they agree to support chiropractic in Australia by making a submission to this public consultation.

Over the course of the next month, the ACA will also be looking to meet with Health Ministers and their advisors across Australia to represent the profession and the benefits we deliver to millions of Australians and the wider health system.

The public consultation is open until Friday 21 June 2019 and you can make your submission online at engage.vic.gov.au/chiropractic-spinal-care-children-review.

As always, the ACA will keep you informed with any further developments in this space and members are encouraged to keep up-to-date by regularly visiting our COAG portal in the members’ area chiropractors.asn.au/coag.

This consultation is open to practitioners and members of the public from all over Australia, not just from Victoria. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact the ACA at [email protected].
