Checking and treating for changes to the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous System in women
This session will provide a check-list of signs and symptoms to look for in women as they age from adolescence and through to middle age.
Each age range may present with a different set of potential markers to use, and treatment options to add to your usual chiropractic care.
Hands on assessment and basic treatment protocols will also be part of this lecture. Please bring a cell phone and reflex hammer (if you can!)
From this session you will hve a signs and symptoms for women as they age along with treatment options.
Dr Angela Todd is a mother of five, chiropractor and researcher with over 27 years in clinical practice.
Angela has a special interest and post graduate qualifications in chiropractic paediatrics from RMIT and for the past 6 years has been conducting research studies from Monash University on the safety and effectiveness of chiropractic care for infants and children.
She is currently a PhD candidate with Monash University and has published in JMPT on “Adverse events from chiropractic and other manual therapies with infants and children: A literature Review” . A second paper is currently under revision with JMPT on “Technique selection in chiropractic paediatrics. A literature review on forces applied and safe limits” and further papers on chiropractic paediatric undergraduate education are in various stages of completion. Exciting studies with the NZ College of chiropractic are currently being developed to fill the knowledge gap in relation to the effect chiropractic care has on children.
