Cervicogenic Dizziness – Think Above C1

In this session Dr Rinaudo will focus on expanding the neuro-musculoskeletal model of managing cervical spine disorders and dizziness.

  • What neuro-rehbailitation treatment options could you add to your existing ‘tool-kit’?

Session 2

Concussion or Whiplash – Can You Tell the Difference?

In this session Dr Rinaudo will highlight the similarities and differences between post-concussion syndrome and whiplash-associated disorder.

  • Definition of a concussion and whiplash, and the mechanism of injury;
  • The presentation and neuro-musculoskeletal consequences of both injuries;
  • How to distinguish between them, so your treatment and prognosis is relevant;
  • What are effective neuro-rehabilitation therapies to include in your Chiropractic treatment?

Biography

Dr Carlo Rinaudo is a registered chiropractor from Australia with post-graduate training in clinical neuroscience and sports. Dr Rinaudo is the clinic director of a multidisciplined clinic, focused on helping people with dizziness, concussion and balance related conditions.

He has recently submitted his PhD thesis in Vestibular (balance) therapy at University of New South Wales and Neuroscience Research Australia, working alongside leading researchers and Neurologist in the field. He is a frequent speaker at national and international events, presenting his research findings at conferences or teaching practitioners about vestibular rehabilitation.

Dr Rinaudo uniquely combines 20 years of clinical experience with current research from multi-disciplined fields, providing an enjoyable and easy-approach ‘knowledge translation’ for the everyday chiropractor.
