Program
Session Title: Don’t Be Left Speechless
Speaker: Sara Howard
Learning to constructively navigate undesirable behaviours and challenging conversations.
In your career, have you ever stopped to consider:
- What types of interactions are challenging?
- Why do we find them challenging?
- How do (and should) we respond to them?
- Why do we need to respond to them?
This 3-hour session will explore these questions from various viewpoints (interactions between health professionals, clients and others) through guided self-reflection, discussion, and role playing. Attendees will leave with practical tips and strategies to manage future interactions more effectively.
Session Title: Practice Management for Diverse Family Practices
Speakers: Dr Paula Stacey-Thomas, Dr Ali Young and Dr Olivia Gleeson
With the collective experience of Dr’s Oliva Gleeson, Alison Young and Paula Stacey-Thomas spanning over 60 years, they offer a perspective and highly practical strategies on how to run and serve a broad and neurodiverse family practice that includes the pediatric and adult population.
Whilst there are Chiropractors who may specialize in niche areas, the great majority of Chiropractors have a general family practice community.
Experience has shown them that excellent clinical and diagnostics skills are not enough to run a successful private Chiropractic practice, there are many skills our university training simply does not cover including:
- Tailored communication with client and team members
- Create a safe and inclusive healing environment
- Systems and procedures
Learning Outcome
This workshop is designed to give the attendee an overview of the basics that can be implement immediately into your practice whether you’re a principal or an associate.
It is followed by a panel discussion to answer audience questions in which Special guest & ACA board member Dr Angela Todd will join.
*** Recent Graduates and Chiropractic Student are encouraged to attend- there will be the opportunity for some students to be sponsored to be able attend
