The Roadshow

Commencing in May 2019, the ACA will be hosting a Risk Management Roadshow in cities around Australia. The Roadshow features Dr John Kelly, who has now worked on over 350 cases resulting in litigation involving chiropractors.

Dr Kelly will review the changing face of litigation over the past 33 years, providing a synopsis of the “then and now” of the issues faced by chiropractors in clinical practice. There will be particular focus on cases resulting in claims over the last 18 months to ensure currency.

Take the opportunity to learn valuable, first hand lessons from real Australian cases. The Roadshow will cover:

  • histories which should have triggered caution;
  • differential diagnostic options considered;
  • informed consent procedures;
  • technique selection issues;
  • monitoring of patient progress; and
  • the issue of when to refer – or not?
