Time: 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Where: Adelaide and Melbourne

About the Event

Join Dr Ella Bourne, Dr Nick Gentile and Dr Jeb McAviney for a seminar on the Management of Scoliosis to be held in Adelaide on Saturday 17 September 2022 and in Melbourne on Saturday 19 November 2022.

Scoliosis is a complicated condition which presents a challenge to health professionals from all fields. There are conflicting guidelines and treating clinicians often have differing opinions.

This presentation will address these inconsistencies while also outlining effective and tailored implementation of evidence-based scoliosis treatment to help improve health outcomes for patients and provide a deeper understanding of scoliosis and how conservative interventions succeed.

Seminar Outcomes

Attendees will learn:

  • the aetiology of scoliosis and effective assessment and diagnosis postural and x-ray evaluation;
  • risk factors of scoliosis and when a case requires intervention;
  • case studies exploring the treatment options available;

As a result, chiropractors will be better equipped to make the correct evidence-based decisions to manage scoliosis patients themselves and know when it is appropriate to refer on for co-management.
