The next AICE Neurorehabilitation webinar, titled Interesting Cases in Neurorehabilitation  will be held Wednesday 20 October 2021 and presented by Drs Carlo Rinaudo, Tony Cassis and Stephanos Kassbalis.

In this webinar hosted by the AICE Neurorehabilitation group, the presenters will discuss three Neurorehabilitation related cases from chiropractors. Filled with clinical pearls, each speaker will discuss examination, diagnosis and management particular to their patient case. There will also be time after each session for a Q&A session, ensuring a rewarding and safe learning experience for all, no matter your training and experience.

Speakers

Dr Carlo Rinaudo

Vestibular influences in a patient with non-traumatic chronic neck pain

Dr Rinaudo will discuss examination, diagnosis and management of this case, with a Q&A session on completion.

Dr Rinaudo was a founding committee member and past-chair of the Neurorehabilitation Clinical Practice Group. He is the clinic director of a multi-disciplinary practice managing patients with concussion, dizziness and complex neurological conditions. He has undertaken post-graduate training in sports (ICSSP) and neuro-rehabilitation (DACNB). Carlo has recently submitted his PhD thesis on the topic of vestibular rehabilitation through the University of New South Wales and Neuroscience Research Australia.

Dr Tony Cassis

Central Sensitisation & Concussion: A Case of Misplaced Maps

Dr Cassis will discuss examination, diagnosis and management of this case, with a Q&A session on completion.

Dr Cassis as a founding committee member of the Neurorehabilitation Clinical Practice Group, he returned in 2020 after a 2-year hiatus from the committee. He has been involved in clinical neurorehabilitation since 2012 when he started a 2-year residency program under the tutelage of Dr Paul Noone, during which he consulted with hundreds of complex clinical cases. In 2015 Tony became certified as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB) and began his own neuro-rehabilitation practice. His special interest within neurorehabilitation is vertigo, balance and specifically falls-risk.

Dr Stephanos Kassabalis

Vertigo Peripheral or Central?

Dr Kassabalis will discuss examination, diagnosis and management of this case, with a Q&A session on completion.

Majoring in anatomy and neurology, Dr Stephanos Kassabalis completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Adelaide followed by a Masters of Chiropractic degree at Macquarie University. He has completed postgraduate neurology training with the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies to become a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board, which makes him a qualified practitioner in Neurological conditions.
