Patient Comms Circuit
Seminar
Date: 31 Jul 2021 - 14 Nov 2021
Where: Australia Wide

About the Event

Do you find it frustrating that people seem to ‘get it’ early on in care only to drop out before they have the results they need?

Do you feel like you’re having to persuade people as to why they need care?

Attend this year’s Communicating to Improve Patient Care seminar presented by sought-after speaker Dr Martin Harvey, where you will learn communication concepts and be provided with questions and templates to assist with your communication skills with patients.  These tools are based on the social science literature, are patient-centred and ethical, and are easy and quick to use in a chiropractic practice.

Learning Outcomes

Attendees will learn:

  • that improving patient care requires communication strategies based on engagement rather than persuasion;
  • that a patient-centred model based on uncovering clinical outcomes and goals are meaningful to the patient;
  • communication strategies that use the impact of the patient’s experience to motivate them to continue their clinical care and home-care;
  • communication approaches to deal with difficult situations such as when a patient feels they are not improving or have had a reaction to care.
